A memorial, located Serooskerke Village, Island of Walcheren, Netherlands, to the ranks of 48 Commando RM and 79 Squadron Royal Engineers who lost their lives when the Landing Vehicles Track were hit by enemy fire. Inscription: ( Led by Jacob van Winkelen, an honorary member of 48 Commando RM Association, the people of Serooskerke raised the money and erected the monument ).
