Tozer Samuel Sergeant Royal Marine Light Infantry (HMS Terror) 34 7 May 1848 Canada Between Victory Point, King William Island and Back River, Adelaide Peninsula Born in 1814. Resided Axbridge, Somerset. A Royal Marine sword was recovered from the Inuits in 1857. It was said to have belonged to a "Great officer", this was very likely Tozer. This suggests that Sgt Tozer had survived long enough to encounter some Inuit and hand over his sword.
