NOTE: Many of the names have just a single initial making it difficult to positively identify them as RMLI. I have checked against the CWGC database but many of the names listed must be regarded as 'best guess' and should not be accepted without further research. The Gosport War Memorial Hospital Roll of Honour 1914-1918. To the undying honour of these men and of 68 officers and 1708 other ranks of the Royal Marine Light Infantry whose names are preserved in the records of that Regiment the Gosport War memorial was erected by their comrades and fellow citizens.

Graspan 1 Royal Marines UK London Originally sited in the Cambridge Enclosure in St. Jamess Park. The memorial was put in storage during World War Two. Moved to present site in the Mall in 1948. The sculptor was Adrian Jones. Pedestal designed by T G Jackson, RA. Inscription: Memorial unveiled by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, 25 april, 1903.
