Christ Church, Gravesend (1) 48 Commando RM UK Gravesend The Plaque was unveiled by Lt. General Sir Robert Sturges, KBE, CB, DSO. Former GOC Commando Group. There is a 'Book of Remembrance' placed under the Plaque. Inscription: In memory of the Officers and Men who gave their lives for their country whilst serving in 48 Commando RM March 1944 - January 1946. This unit was stationed and trained in Gravesend prior to D-Day 6 June, 1944.

Church of St. Germain-en-Laye Regiment of Marines France Ile de France Church of St. Germain-en-Laye, Ile de France. Contains tomb of King James ll, Duke of York & Albany, headed first Regiment of Marines raised in 1664. The Chateau St. Germain-en-Laye, where James lived and died, is now the Museum of National Antiquities.

Cockleshell Heroes Plaque Royal Marines United Kingdom The Rose Garden, Southsea Esplanade This plaque provided by Portsmouth City Council was unveiled by Marine Bill Sparks DSM on 6th July 1992. In the presence of the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth Councillor Jim Patey and the Chairman of the Leisure Committee Councillor Syd Rapson BEM, to mark the 50th Anniversary of this site which was used as a training base for the Royal Marine Boom Patrol Detachment, formed on 6th July 1942. This secret unit trained on the Solent for raids by canoe (Cockles) on Europe. The most famous raid was made on German ship Maj H Hasler OBE DSO RM; Mne W Sparks DSM; Cpl A Laver; Mne W Mills; Cpl G Sheard; Lt J Mackinnon RM; Mne J Conway; Sgt S Wallace; Mne R Ewart; Mne D Moffat. Colnel Charles Lanyon Owen Royal Marine Light Infantry United Kingdom St Jude's Church, Portsmouth Sacred to the memory of Colonel Charles Lanyon Owen Royal Marine Light Infantry, for 39 years. A Magistrate for Portsmouth, died November 29th 1914. Resurgam. This tablet is placed in loving remembrance by his wife and children.
Colonel George Stephen Digby CB plaque 19 March 1877 United Kingdom NMRN Store Originally in the RMA Church, Eastney (The Crinoline Church), then moved to St Andrew's Church c. 1904 before being removed to Museum store c. 1998 In memory of Colonel George Stephen Digby, Commandant Royal Marine Artillery, Companion of the Bath, Knight of the Legion of Honour and of the Mejidie, who after a distinguished career died on 19 March AD 1877 aged 55 years. This memorial is erected by his brother officers as a mark of their affectionate esteem

Colour Sergeant Harry Coleman RMLI (CH/10174) 26 October 1969 United Kingdom Unknown Water Cruet. Recorded in the RM Museum photo album of the memorials and plaques in St Andrew's Church but its whereabouts following the closure of St Andrew's is unknown. in mem H Coleman
